Hi, am looking to rejuvinate the 5'' blue gelcoat band on the top of my hull- quite badly faded. It responded to a light wet/dry/wax and repolish at the start of the season but is starting to fade again.

Someone suggested that I could have the area re-gelcoated- can this be done successfully? I could opt for paint, but am cautious as I dont want to be re-coating every season

any comment glady received.

Crap joke follows.....

Two ants in an airing cupboard, how do u know which one has been in the army?.....

..........Its the one on the Tank!

G'day Dog,

And welcome to the forum.

Have you considered a decal?

Almost any sign manufacturer will be happy to provide you with a nice blue stick on any length or width you like;

They stand up pretty well and don't make a mess when applying them.
Getting an old one off can be a lot of work thou.

Hope this helps.

PS. Please fill in some more details on your profile.

hi pauline, I've seen youre little strip tease recently-nice touch!

The story of dog relates back to bringing a stunning girlfriend to a pub once- mates instantly clocked her and said I was an old dog for landing such a stunna, a repeat of similar things since, and the name has stuck!

does that help??

Pauline, you assume too much- could be loaded for all u know. I guess its trying to find ways to rejuvinate gelcoat on a 20 year old boat that gives the fact away that i'm not!!

Always fancied being a rich womens toy-boy though!!!!
