The CG officer therefore had every right to order operations, including telling the captain what he should do. One of the CG officer's problems was that he was not properly informed of the situation until it had pretty well got out of control.... ... ...
I didn't much like the macho CG Officer, who seemed to be grandstanding on his tape machine, rather than contributing anything useful to the situation.

So one has to ask how he is supposed to assume control of situation like this from 100 miles away? Sounds a recipe fro further disaster to me., thiough I guess there are times when our own Coasties would like to be able to tell people what they really must do next....
