Would anyone be able to guesstimate the cost of buying and fitting auto pilot to a 35 foot Flybridge?
Two on the market I like the look off, both the same price but one has auto pilot and one doesn't.

Thanks

Depends how you do it:

Brand new from raymarine/Garmin etc about £2500 assuming shaft drive hydraulic steering and you want a head at each helm
But the bits from eBay (2xST6002 heads @ £200ea, type 1 pump at £325, S3(G) course computer £400, rudder sensor £100) £1200.

Of course with the first option you get the latest kit and I assume the boat with the APhas kit closer to the stuff you would buy on eBay

I got a AP2403 VRF Autopilot Package from Simrad, with all devices, at £1400. Then added fittings at £110 and DIY installation.

Not too hard and integrated plug n' play with other nmea 2000 gear onboard

If you're installing this into an existing hydraulic steering system, e.g. rudder steering with shafts, do not under estimate the work require to have the new hydraulic pump work with the existing hydraulics, with necessary tees and possibly NRVv blocks. If you haven't worked with hydraulics then this could be a job for the professional, and this aspect takes as long as the electronics bit if not longer and by its nature can be messier.

That said a competent engineer would find this well within his capability.

Not as costly as I thought, thanks for the replies, have to brush up on my negotiating skills!
Couple of things spread throughout the country at the moment that I am looking at (virtually) need to get a holiday over with and will then start shopping in September
