Why do they appear to put their nose down when underway? They look like they are trying to nose dive.

Know what you mean Ben, seriously thinking about one for our next boat, but don't like that lack of aft cockpit design, and whenever I have seen one they are nose down!

I think they have lockers under the wheelhouse floor as well as weighty 315hp yanmars in a 32 ft hull and the flybridge weight slightly over the front half of the hull

Good E.g !

They also have a slightly strange underwater profile with a fairly large rounded bulbous section from just forward of midships to about 3/4 aft where the chines flatten out. Not sure whether this pushes up the stern at slow speed.

Not going to put me off wanting one.

Unless we go for a more commercial vessel, a late corvette 320 may well be our next boat, so the slight nose down on speeds of up to 7knots will also not put me off. Indeed an unusual underwater profile that works brilliantly, and that width..

Hmm - we had better be careful or we will push the market price up between us. I am biding my time for them to fall down a bit more.

One near you in Mercury for sale presently.

Seen it. Also seen Clarkey…

Also fancy a Cygnus cyfish pilot... Also want to keep my hardy. Also want to fill my newly built timber garage...Oh what to do?

Or just a Nordhavn so you can pretend your driving a seagoing tug. Now if I had one f those it would definitely have a massive fire pump so I could blast it skywards every time I pass an MDL Marina !

Certainly nothing weighty about 6LP 315 Yanmars in 30 ft hull they are only just over 400 kg bobtail. First run of Corvettes had Cummins 6BT 210's at just over 500 kg each and with run out of the 6LP's Fleming have switched to QSB 380's at 588 kgs a pop. Despite difference in installed engine weights once given the beans bow lifts nicely and they have real nice attitude.

Like the boats, however engine access is a nightmare!

Love the Corvette great little ship taught on two now
Would make a great training boat but wife says no
Ahh well who am I to argue.
Tim

Agree Tim
I taught one one after You taught Me!
It was an old one
Beware the old ones they have fuel tank problems
Anyway
The Hull shape is great in a rough sea
They are a 'Tardis' of a Boat
6 No's on the Lottery and I would have one, a 340
Only downside I can critisize , Starboard exit only for the Helm
Which may only be a Prob whilst single handed
Oh and by the way Tim
My Wife said 'No' , don't go to The IOW again
That 'Tim' Guy , you were never the same again after His Course
;)

Well that's three of us with the Corvette on the next boat list... I'm not going to be changing until 2016 though and it is by now means the only thing on my list.

Good point about fuel tanks, forgot all about that trouble. Any engine work requires engine being lifted and stripped in the wheelhouse and parts taken out wheelhouse door.

Was asked to look at re-powering one where Yanmar LP had ingested an exhaust valve, new replacement engines would require complete strip down to get through the door so bang went warranty.
