Yesterday I flew over to sardegna,
the official site (in Belgium) said I still need a EU PLF
but there were no controlls for that, not at boarding the flight, nor at arrival in Cagliari,
I have to admid that Cagliari is relaxed since a long time already, but a month ago, the flight co was checking the paperwork at checkin.

We travelled from UK to France a few weeks ago and crossed into Italy last weekend. As Bart says, officially you need to complete an EU PLF form (for France as well as Italy), but we have never been asked for one, despite several border crossings over the last few months.

We always complete one, just in case.

For Italy (Sardinia) you need a DPLF and proof of vaccination. They're not always checked, but we've spent an hour waiting on the tarmac to embark our plane because two of the disembarking passengers did not have a PLF. After much palaver they were led away by the police and we could finally get on our flight. Don't be those guys.
