France has removed border restrictions with European countries without quarantine measures; the change, which came into force on June 15, excludes people coming from countries with their own isolation regimes, including Britain, where rules will be reciprocal.

Are you sure you WWB?

In reciprocation, the restrictions will continue to apply at the borders with Spain and the United Kingdom.

  • On 8 June, the United Kingdom opted for a 14-day quarantine requirement for travellers arriving from France. On 15 June, travellers arriving from the United Kingdom will no longer be subject to related restrictions for entering national territory, but will be asked to observe a 14-day quarantine upon their arrival.
You are travelling from the UK I presume.

and what may I ask is WWB.? Is it a racist comment by any chance ?

Given the improved health situation in France and in Europe and in accordance with the recommendations announced yesterday by the European Commission, at midnight (0:00, Paris time) on 15 June , France will lift all restrictions on movement at its European internal borders (land, air and sea), which have been applied to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
From 15 June, people arriving from the European Space (European Union Member States as well as Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican) will be able to enter French territory without COVID-19-related restrictions, as was the case before 18 March 2020. These travellers will no longer be required to have an exempted international travel certificate to enter France. As a reminder, persons coming from the European Space are exempt from the 14-day quarantine upon their arrival in France.
In reciprocation, the restrictions will continue to apply at the borders with Spain and the United Kingdom.
  • Spain has chosen to maintain its COVID-19-related travel restrictions and the mandatory 14-day quarantine for air passengers arriving from European countries until 21 June. To be consistent with Spanish authorities, France will maintain restrictions that are currently in force until 21 June. Until that date, air passengers coming from Spain will be subject to a 14-day quarantine upon their arrival in France.
  • On 8 June, the United Kingdom opted for a 14-day quarantine requirement for travellers arriving from France. On 15 June, travellers arriving from the United Kingdom will no longer be subject to COVID-19-related restrictions for entering national territory, but will be asked to observe a 14-day quarantine

Apologies, I don't think I was quite clearer enough so please let me be bit clearer for you . . . . . leftie liberal media!
But in truth this thread is getting shanghaied by another agenda so if you or anyone else wishes to change the tack , how about a new thread if you wish to carry this topic further?
I do find this line of argument from the freedom fighters amusing.
Bring something up, have it debunked, then claim the thread is being hijacked to try and close down further exposure of how wrong their original comment was. Speaks volumes.

EJ have cancelled fights to Preveza on 1 and 2 July. Hope 3 July survives - that's what we have booked! After that they seem very heavily booked
Tony, we were on cancelled EJ flight Gatwick to Preveza on the 1st July, website showing no availability until 26th, ie no flights operating. We’ve changed to Luton to Corfu on the 2nd to get the Ferry to Igouminitsa (plan K) and then a hire car. You should find out tomorrow....

Chris

perhaps when you get out of bed have a look at the news

Priti Patel is ‘presiding over an economic disaster’ and should resign if the quarantine policy proves unlawful, hundreds of travel and hospitality bosses will say today.

OK, opened an eye, yawned and decided not to wax on about folk confusing HMG Depts or arguments in threads when trying to get an understanding is so important for many would-be travellers. However, and at the expense of being boring, the gov advice re essential travel only is real and still live which, for most, may/would invalidate travel insurance if they were to take the risk and travel

There's do much disinformation about ,so I ask the question.
Can we drive through France .Germany, Austria ,Italy. Without doing any quarantine.?
My son has been in France for the past week and is currently delivering a boat by road from Hamburg to Croatia. He tells me all borders are open, Channel tunnel no problem. Lots of motorhomes on FB pages have crossed to France in the past few days via tunnel.

Not following flights per se but I thought it was only Athens and Thessaloniki that was accepting international flights at the moment?

This is how I understood the situation with France. We checked it out and there was to be no problem with travel or transit but unfortunately I was getting shouted down.

And this on Facebook page ,

Arrived at Athens airport via Frankfurt from New York, where 25.000 people have died in the span of seventy days. There was another passenger onboard traveling from Manchester, England. Totally full flight, no empty seat anywhere. No one, no one, not one person who disembarked was checked, no one asked to see our health certificates, neither in Athens nor in Frankfurt (just in case that you might think that the Germans had cleared us). We got into a taxi and went to pick up our car and went home. Starting tomorrow we can go shopping, swimming, clubbing, to the hairdresser armed with the suggestion that we might wear a mask. Let's see how quickly it spikes. This country is not governed by technocrats, it' not even governed by goat herders. Not even by shepherds. Not by cold empiricists but by idiotic cannibalistic gold diggers.

Yeah, I'm livid.

Do we need to go to Greece?
