I put on Coppercoat last season, at a cost of £400. I figured if it lasted two seasons I'd break even. After 9 months afloat there are large patches of blisters where the top coat has parted company with the first coat. I followed the instructions carefully and worked in good weather conditions. The manufacturers haven't offered any explanation.

Has anyone else had this trouble and/or know of a remedy? I'm not keen to grind it off and go back to conventional if there's something I can do about it.

You don't say what the first coat was. The following may not apply but this was our experience.

On our boat, we had a coal tar epoxy barrier coat. The weather then turned bad and it was about 7 days before we could put the anti-fouling on. The top coat came off in sheets after about 500 miles. So the lesson we learned is the final coat must go on within 24 hours of the first coat so it can get a bite into it before it hardens too much.
