cooker spares

i have gas cooker on our arvor25 and every time i light it up and let go of the gas knob it goes out .
i know it has a thermo couple .
on investigating the aluminium nut which holds the thermo couple in has corroded away bad on a boat 6 months old and the dealers are very good(essex boatyards) but i thought it would be quicker to buy another gas knob and valve but cannot find anywhere .
any help please
