The place isn't too difficult, but what is the ship?

(And anyone know who was daft enough to be beating down Channel in a F6 against the tide, on 29th August 2004?)

Yes, it's the Balmoral coming up to Foreland Point after leaving Ilfracombe, on it's way to Penarth and Clevedon.

I don't know where the yacht was trying to get to, but there was another hour or so of flood, and I was running at 8-10 kn over the ground in a 3m sea. It looked like he was getting a right old bashing /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

bristol channel pilot cutters race 1997 taken early in morning dont very often see blue water off penarth,we were anchored of porlock weir what a sight to see them all rounding mark with every bit of canvas available flying

I took this one of the "Olga" racing past Breaksea on the way to Porlock.Cant remember which year it was.

Olga reminded me..... Does anyone remember a Russian? MTB hydrafoil based at CBYC a few years ago? and what happened to it? (called Volga)
