I've clocked up 1200+ hrs on various outdrive boats over 10years.
The drives have never prevented me from going boating.
Over that time, I've had one unscheduled lift, and a couple of milkshake in oil issues caused by fishing line or net debris which were fixed at the end of the season.
Other than the above, it's just a matter of changing gaiters, anodes and oil.
