Compromised Cooking

I have just spent a few days in Japan/Korea on business. Actually the pot noodles were a real pleasure after some of the stuf I have been fed.

Dropping a live octopus into the pot at a Shabi shabi restuarant, then having to eat it 2 minutes later left me longing for a nice safe pot noodle.

Sod cooking on the boat, would stink to high heaven!

Nope, we eat out or eat stuff that doesn't need cooking. Nice bottle of wine, some good bread, cheese and some lovely ham. Yum.

I enjoy cooking and having the time to cook. The cook always gets perks form the bottle so no time wasted there. 2 burners, grill and oven is fine by me. I've done five courses for six diners for New Year on that. The only thing I've not had much success over so far has been stir fry. Whne you have an uber burner on the hob at home its a struggle on the boat to do it all at once and I dont have a wok on board anyway.

I jus have to be careful about bits in the washing up. All my fault for using "what I had in stock" galley plumbing, the pipes are a bit small!
