Hi,

I’ve recently purchased a UFO 27, and am looking for the location or drawings of the fuel tank location, but am at a dead end.
Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Edit:
Apologies, I misread the thread title and gave the location of the water tank. I'm afraid I can't help, because in the one I had, the original fuel tank had been replaced by a wedge shaped s/s tank behind the companionway.
Surely it's got to be somewhere between where the fuel filler is and where the fuel lines to and from the engine dissappear from view?

So it is a bit of a weird one. The boat has been fitted with a 20 litre plastic fuel tank which is stored inside under the stbd side berth (racing layout), when I asked the previous owner about it he didn’t really know, but was told not to use the filler on the stbd deck to the tank. During winter I’m going to try and figure it all out. But the obvious place seems to be astern of the engine.

In my first post, I at first thought you were looking for the water tank, but later edited my answer, however the thought has since occurred to me that, if you are aware of a water tank that is somewhere other than behind the panel at the end of the quarterberth, then that is where you might find the fuel tank.
Most of these boats were bought as kits, and home-completed, so there were many variations in the internal arrangements. However, the spaces below the cockpit and behind the engine are limited in scope for installing a tank.
Have a look at the cockpit locker; does it run the full length of the cockpit with a division dividing it one third/ two thirds? There may be a space at the forward end, between the locker and the saloon bulkhead. Another place to look would be under the bridge deck.
