Why is it that sail-makers won't make me a coloured Genoa? 7 years ago I bought my much -loved South African built Dean 10-33 Ocean-comber catamaran. It was built in 1989-90 and came with a very attractive three colour (light blue, dark blue and white) furling genoa, instantly recogniseable in my sailing area.
Looking to replace this sturdy but well worn sail, I get the incredulous response "but nobody makes coloured genoas!". Even the original manufacturer (Norths in Cape Town) can't or won't help.
