Under new ownership recently and has certainly upped the ante in the area with the Kyles Hotel now closed, The Royal too damned expensive, and the Kames Hotel with 15 moorings indifferent to yachties.

Had dinner there last week, and lunch there on saturday - even though three of us turned up at 14:45 with lunches finishing at 14:30. Not a problem we were told.

Now that's nice.

Yup - friendly and welcoming with good food reasonably priced. And visitors' moorings! What more could you want?

Centre of activity could move eastwards from Kames/Tighnabruaich.
