Coitus Interruptus?

Re: Coitus Interruptus and responsibility

[ QUOTE ]

The incident happened nearly twelve months ago and the article makes it clear that nobody was presumed dead - two are unaccounted for.

[/ QUOTE ]

The article stated "A draft report on the sinking – in which two passengers were missing and presumed dead – is to be delivered to the board within days."

If it had been a cartoon or a film, I would have found it funny but this was real life.

Re: Coitus Interruptus and responsibility

I believe you to be sincere awol, but then why did you headline the post with an obviously gratuitous 'Coitus Interruptus?'. If you had intended gravitas, you would have headed it something like 'Criminally Negligent Ferry Crew kill innocent people'.

And these fora do not lack in any sense a place for everybody. The sheer number of posts and replies suggests a high rate of satisfaction and return.

People come, people go, some stand in the shadows. So what?

It may be in poor taste, in fact its like a third party Darwin award.
Paused for a few minutes there. So: I cant think of a single tragic item on the news where a slew of comic quips, puns, jokes and twists emerged within hours or days, almost all in 'bad' taste. Its the balancing side of human nature, and why the brain has a huge capacity to blot out pain and trauma.

Not a dig, just an observation....

Can there also be a forum for people who are genuinely rubbish at spelling? "Puriant" "usefull" and "indiferance" - hee hee. And another forum for people who don't much read newspapers and are a bit dim? Or is that the same one?

Re: Coitus Interruptus and responsibility

"Of 101 passengers aboard, 99 were rescued. The two others are listed as missing but have not officially been declared dead."

I'm an optomist!

Any why post the link under "Coitus Interuptus" and then come on all holier than thou about cartoons / real life?

Re: Coitus Interruptus and responsibility

Raven and Full Circle question my choice of title for the posting. I was struck by both the prurient humour and the pathos of the article. My first thoughts for the posting were a variety of "rocks off" style comments but the tragedy aspects overwhelmed them. Unfortunately, the title had been typed before the awful aspects had permeated.

Re: Coitus Interruptus and responsibility

I wouldnt feel too hard on yourself. The event happened nearly twelve months ago, you are highly unlikely to cause any offence whatsoever to the close family and friends of those involved.

Black humour is a natural fact of life as Full Circle has rightly pointed out. It is part of natures way of rationalising terrible events - you have only to ask any Policeman.

So you mean your plan to reserect a 'lurker's' forum was just a Freudian balls-up rather than deliberate double entendre? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
