We have Cobb Premier onboard, great little bit of kit, but the grill pan is showing its age now.
The non stick coating has worn off and its turning a bit rusty,
Cobb sell a stainless steel version for the same price as the non stick type, but its out of stock until mid August.
Anyone have experience of the SS grill pan? Any good? Easy to clean? How non stick is it?
Or is there anyway of getting the original grill pan cleaned off and re-coated with a non stick material? Could it be ceramic coated?
Or is there an aftermarket (non Cobb) grill pan that can be bought and used instead?
Any experience is good to know.

TIA

Our non stick hasn’t really existed since the first summer we owned the Cobb: never been bothered by the lack of it. Just scrub the grill with whatever’s to hand to get it clean: sometimes get a bit of rust on it between uses but not enough to bother about. I get that doesn’t answer the question but I don’t regard the lack of non stick to be a problem….

Our Cobb may not have been used as much but our non stick is fine. However the problem you describe reminds me of owning a wok ....after cleaning a smear of cooking oil was supposed to be applied to prevent rust.
