I've seen folks use the pier at Tarbert,Loch fyne for scrubbing and anifouling.I'm sure you need to pay the harbour trust something for using it tho.Fin keelers seemed to dry out quite safely

Millport harbour? I have dried in Lochranza behind the ferry berth but you would need to be sure of keeping it clear at night. Lamlash pier dries as does the old one at port bannatyne, in fact there's lots - a decent chart would indicate the possibilities I'm sure.

Is the old peir at Port Bannatyne still available. Scrubbed there years ago.

Posts crossed, I see!

I am at this very moment about 100yds from the pier, although on land. There is a converted fishing boat (no, not Elizmor) on the north side, leaving just a bit of room. The end is clear, but I think that only dries at springs. I'll have a look tomorrow. The south side is clear, but very built up with sand and shingle to unless you went near the end you'd dry out at 30 degrees from the horizontal.

Drying Areas And Pictures Of Millport At Low Tide

There was/is a scrubbing whats it called at the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club in the Gareloch, proper beams and posts. I last saw it in the late 1970s, so it may be long gone. The inner harbour at Millport is good, or even the wall of the main pier, but I would go inside the inner harbour, the sea bed is firm sand and clear of obstructions. I have used the dolphin in the middle of Tarbert Loch Fyne with a fin keeler (Contessa 34) with no problems, it is stony, small boulders.

There was a yacht alongside the north face of Port Bannatyne pier today. I think it was a Hunter 245 which lives near me in the boatyard. I'm afraid I didn't see whether it dried out, though if it was the local Hunter it seems unlikely as it was only launched this week. Even with the fishing boat there it had plenty of room - I reckon anything up to 35' would be fine, with a little care.
