Clyde Estuary - Leisure Vessel Charge for Use

I watched, was encouraged by the cross-party support and understanding until Fiona Hyslop spoke. Are Peel Ports donating to her and her party?
I doubt it, there's no love lost between them over the Ardrossan mess! It may be that she doesn't want to sour that relationship further given their proposal to nationalise Ardrossan harbour! I've had the "pleasure" to meet her personally and she's a career politician, she's not planning to stand for reelection, she doesn't represent a constituency that is on the Clyde coast - she has no reason to be passionate about it. I don't think the colour of her rosette would make any difference - she's only ever seemed passionate about issues when she was sure she was on the winning side! Giving her the benefit of the doubt if she (as Cabinet Secretary) is the initial escalation point under s31 it may be best she ensures she is neutral or Peel Ports would probably tie her up in Judicial Review!

I got tired of struggling to hear the debate on my phone and accessed the transcript. I was impressed that contributers from all parties had grasped the crux of all the factors that have resulted in the many objections and the total opposition to the proposal. Even the Transport Minister seemed to have grasped that something needs to be done about this company and their failure to look after the public assets that they have acquired.
