Clearing Madeira

Attempt to round Madeira to the west foiled by F7 off the headland, temperamental Genoa furling and engine overheat. After fixing those what's best strategy for heading for Azores? Maybe heading further south out of wind shadow and keeping further away from cape?

weatherwise, looks fine from now F4 or less for a few days - mebbe take diesel cos it's calm around azores over the weekend.
