Saturday, is the day to recommision the Boat, /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
Brilliant.

Swmbo and i are going up to clean the boat inside and out.
She's doing the inside, and i'm doing the outside.
Sounds Fair.

Can you please recommend any cleaning fluids to make the day easier.
I will be washing the boat, then waxing it, I've heard 3M Marine UltraPerformance is a good wax. Will this do the job okay? Or do you know of something better?
Also the raised gripped anti-slip surface on the Bow and bathing platform, is difficult to wax, whats best to use on that area?

Also anytips to make SWMBO's job easier would be much appreciated.

Hopefully if thats done quickly, we can then go out and have our first trip of the year./forums/images/icons/smile.gif/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Cannae What!!!!!

Wax the anti slip surfaces? You are joking aren't you?

Just give them a good clean unless you want it to be a skating rink.

Yes you are right.
Maybe not so much wax, the anti-slip, but more clean it, It gets very black in the lower part of it. I find it a bugger to clean.

I think it's just that the fame of MF boat remover has spread to the banana boat wold, faster than the stinkpots.

Thought you were banned anyway??? /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I find the Starbrite Deck Cleaner pretty effective stuff, their Hull Cleaner for the 'yellow bits' around the waterline is fantastic stuff.

As for waxing the non slip decks, I do wax them purely to get the ingrained dirt out and try and seal it a bit.

I know everyone will think I'm mad, but as long as you don't go OTT with it and give it a good polish off you should not have a problem, it will of course depend somewhat on what type of non slip decks you have. On our Bayliner it is not a problem.

Best thing is to try it on a small patch and see how slippy it gets (wet and dry) then make your own mind up.
