Cleaning acrylic windows?

Just on a slightly thread drift , someone being help ful on ybw suggested I could remove the crazing off my window , using wet and dry then polish after wards ,
why did I listen , two days work and it look worst then I started , after ordering new Acrylic i when to pick it up and started a conversation with the owner who later tells me he spend his working life working with plastic and Acrylic.
After telling him what I done , he first shook his head before tears started to appear,

I guess you can't remove crazing .

How time flies, the boat is long gone, away to Essex, where she is being subjected to a comprehensive refurb. so will be shining by now.
But up here, I still have plenty of plastic to polish so thanks for all the suggestions.

...I guess you can't remove crazing .

I think you might succeed with surface scratches. Actual crazing will go too deep to polish out.
