Cleaning a suede cover

I have "imitation suede" on several seats and I have used a soft pencil eraser to great effect to remove odd marks.
- I have not found anything (yet) to get rid of "waxy" marks though ;-((

On suede shoes an eraser is the bees-knees ... maybe because is is usually trteated with a repellant, thicker leather and an ink-eraser removes almost everything.

I jet washed mine last weekend, and then noticed some of the stitching had been blown apart - horror.
