Thnx, this is very helpfull.
It shows once more, as several of you have already suggested, that you can spend many months here. It will be difficult to chose!
Have a look at Cruising Scotland, A Companion to the CCC Sailing Directions. Just what you need to whet the appetite ;-)
Now you have had such useful free advice, you will now have to keep a blog of your journey so we can all 'travel' with you
See you on the way round [anticlockwise of course]
PS: I guess your “old” boat is sold?
Jakeroyd,
thanks for the Penguin Boltholes info'. Have added to our growing info for 'Round Britain' ........this summer with any luck.
Hope to see you around 'sailingjoy', look out for our Tradewind - Ambler of Arne,
As a general info/guidance book we've so far found Sam Steeles 'UK and Ireland circumnavigators guide' as good as any.
cheers
S.
Keep a lookout for a free booklet called "Welcome Anchorages" you can get it from the Sail Scotland stand at the boatshow. Or may be found on their website
