As pheran asid it dose mean "we are one". In fact it was used be SABC 1 TV as a sign on to there TV station at one time.

The only thing is I don't think it is zulu as it is not in my Zulu-English/English-Zulu online dictionary

I've been told by my friend that the true translation of the word "simunye" would be "we are all one people".

I spoke to one of my african computer technichans and he asid "we are all one people" is a "bit of a streach" of the meening and the common useage is "we are one"

Whilst I can't account for its absence from your dictionary, all my sources (including a quick Google!) indicate that simunye is indeed derived from African Zulu.
