Hello,

I am looking for a way to check my batteries as I can't get down atm.

Has anyone used anything that I can get fitted that doesn't take too long + works without Victron/Mastervolt?

Cheers

Hello and welcome

Are you on the hard, in a marina or mooring?

Unless you or somebody has physical access and can install a monitoring device then it is a guessing game and will depend on the condition of the batteries. In the past I have left the boat for up to three months and returned to find them at 12.5 volts.

My tactic was always to give the batteries a 24 or 48 hour charge in December and again in April. Seemed to work OK and took less than 1 kWh from the mains each time.

I left my batteries disconnected forty four days ago after charging them. Another example maybe of why marinas should allow a short visit with SD measures to protect our assets and pay a donation to the NHS. No disrespect to marina staff but each boat has it's quirks that only the owner understands.
