Yes definately good, but have it checked for osmosis if its been in the river too long, but that applies to any boat. don't pay more than 12K if you can.
Much better interior finish than the Princess your looking at, it has real teak and no horrible formica. Its good in a seaway but if you are going to sea don't buy a one with a 4 cylinder engine, it will struggle to plane with any load, that means 4 people is a problem. I my opinion much better than the Sealine 215/218 Fairline Sprint etc.. if only because of the proper cabin windows that let all the light in, cockpit layout is good also with a very nice high helm position.
Make sure you have a look at one, before you buy anything else.

Further to recent reply, had boat about 2 months...absolutely delighted. Really classy, she attracted alot of admirers when she was on the trailer at our local marina while I gave her a spring clean.
I don't think she looks odd....unlike boats like bayliners, which look like every other modern wedge shape. The 224 still looks modern, but sleek and traditional at the same time. Having said that I did nearly buy a 2455 Bayliner..but although I liked the cockpit, they were much darker down below, didn't have hot water/shower (tho some have had them fitted) and everyone I saw was tatty inside.
The 224 remains very stylish inside 'cos there's lots of beautiful teak!!
