Small one probably too small, other one ok, but they do one slighly smaller (about 18" high) in B&Q for around £75 that I have and seem to be popular with those from here who bought it. Works very well.
My criteria for buying the £99 XM Dehumidifier 101HGD from Marine Super Store, was that it has a hot gas defrost, so I don't have to have a heater on during the winter.
If you get a dehumidifier that does not hot gas defrost itself, it will ice up at around 4C and below.
My boat is on the water and apart from engine heaters has no cabin heating. Is this frosting up business as "Majorcatastrophe" brought to my attention going to be a prob with the B&Q one ?
I have cabin heaters so can't comment, but there is some kind of frost thingy on the dial but don't know what it means. May be a cutout if it gets too cold.
The B&Q one does have a defrost setting, although I'm not sure it is a hot gas defrost or how it works. The unit seems to still be working when the defrost light is on.
Yes I bouught a cheap one from B&Q and it works fine but I have difficulty persuading it to use the outlet instead of the internal bucket which soon gets full(buy enough plastic pipe to get you from where you will site it to your sink they sell this at B&Q too)
