Title says it all really, don’t expect amazing kit for what I want to spend. The good bins can stay safe on board ,I’m looking for small pair that can slip in my pocket or in back pack just for general obs, do I want to go down there type of thing.
Thanks
K

I think that the cheaper ones are all probably fairly similar and will work adequately - I bought one of these from Amazon USA a few years ago, and I am happy with what I need it for.
I can't remember the cost, but it was probably less than US$40.
Amazon.com : Monocular Telescope, 12X50 High Power Prism Monocular and Quick Smartphone Holder - Waterproof Fog- Proof Shockproof Scope -BAK4 Prism FMC (Fifth Avenue-Store) : Electronics

Have a look at this link on Amazon UK - there is a good range there.

I have a monocular made from a binocular where the prism in one barrel cracked. I cut the hinge and frame off the good barrel, and voilà, free monocular.

Those prices! Wrong end of the market for me, and possibly the OP. For everyday, in the pocket, I'd spend about £10 for something like this more than adequate:

My daughter has some binocs from the RSPB and for a small/ medium size binoc at modest/ medium price they are not bad.
