Cheap 2003 Sealine F42/5

Looks about the correct price, rather than a steal, in view of unlovedness, vvv high hours and very low spec. Good buy for someone wanting to get into that class of boat for a low price and with time/inclination to refit, and happy to accept the low resale value that will come with multi-thousand engine hours

Agree 100% with jfm. If you can't afford A1 condition but want the boat, as long as it is usable in its current condition and you are happy to spend a couple of years and a fair chunk of cash spread over them to bring it back, then you have a boat you would not have been able to afford otherwise. If you are really lucky you will be able to sell it in a few years time for what you paid for it including the cost of parts. the only loss will be Your time.

Then again if you are unlucky it could cost you a lot more than a perfect one would.

Judging by the condition of many boats out there for sale there is a big audience of people who might happily live with this in the mess that it's in and not see anything wrong with it!! They are the people who would end up with a 'bargain', as most of us on here want our boats minted and with all the right toys.

Just a quick update on this one, by coincidence I happened to be on this boat today. It has a new owner who has already made a huge difference in a short amount of time, new upholstery, nav gear and sound system etc being installed. I was there to bring the corian countertops back to their former glory after years of neglect. Sorry no pics, not for me to post.

Definitely worth surveying, after all when you buy a boat of this age your generally look to update Nav/upholstery anyway. Assuming motors and running gear are sound, commensurate with age, a very nice project boat IMO...

Thread resurrection; but if this is the same boat, it looks tidier now, and a potential nice profit of £50k for 6 months work and im assuming it won't have had that spent on it.
Mind you, I would have cleaned the engine bay up. Looks like it hasn't been touched from the original photos that were posted on the ad when this thread was started.
