Anchoring is the way to go, avoid marinas like the plague. They’re just too hot in the summer. From Trogir, Hvar is a must, but anchor somewhere in the Paklenis Islands and taxi in. Otok Drevni also has a nice anchorage in fine weather only. If you can make it Korcula is fabulous. Don’t be too ambitious with only 7 days, and spend all your time at sea. The anchorages are great places just to chill out and swim in crystal clear waters. Keep a very close eye on the wind forecasts, we’ve had F11 and F9s in summer and also 180 degree wind shifts just around dinner time

For Hvar, anchor on the north side and take a one hour walk over the hill. Just don't get too bothered about the shocking amount of fly tipping the local builders do on the mountain roads.
