charter boating

we are hoping to charter a sailing boat in the Med next June, anyone recommend a particular company for two couples of fairly novice sailors, lots of powerboat experience but not much sailing !

We've chartered a lot in the Med, and mostly have used a broker called Nigel James who is very helpful. In Greece he tips Vernicos, which is an excellect company. Look at his web site: www.nj-yacht.com or the Vernicos site: www.vernicos.gr
If you are thinking of Greece and want a bareboat charter may I suggest you think of the Dodecanese (out of Kos) because the islands are closer together and winds are generally good. Also there is a good service direct to Kos by Britannia from Gatwick. The Saronic Gulf is very busy and the Cyclades is tougher sailing.
