Chart updates on line

Correcting small craft folios will keep you even busier, because the corrections no longer refer to the individual folio charts. Instead you need to find the full size chart on which each folio chart is based and then see which corrections for the full sized version are applicable to your folio chart.

Why is it that the corrections / notices to mariners cannot be referenced by a simple search through a database instead of wading through the notices to mariners? All I want to do is type in a chart number and get all the relevant corrections. Not too much to ask for from an online system.

this was suggested years ago

About six or more years ago a meeting was held at the Cruising Association at which the the Admiralty Hydrographers invited a selected group of yachtsmen to tell them what they would like to see in new products. A very computer literate retired RN Intelligence Officer made this very suggestion. ie to present information on line giving chart correction information referenced to the chart number.

In defence of Droggie, you can search by chart no, as well as plough thro' the excess verbiage and all the corrections for the whole world.
There was talk of actually doing a yottie folio search facility but I think important things overtook that wish.
You mustn't forget that, in the scheme of things, you yotties represent less than 8% of Droggie's interests.
