Thin on the ground: Yellow Pages give only FLAGLER on Quai Chancy. Nothing for Calais. France's biggest chandlers (Accastillage Diffusion aka AD) have branches in Gravelines (30 kms north of Calais) and Dunkerque (about 50 kms). There is also a USHIP at Dunkerque.

There used to be a chandler in Calais, but he is closed. This summer we did not find one there at all. There is a small one in Boulogne, next to the inner marina basin, on the south side, but range of stock is not impressive.

I you stand with the visiters mariner to your left , the basin Napoleon to your right and the yacht club behind you , you should be facing the road/foot bridge.
Carry on walking ,(warning the road is a nightmare to cross) without crossing the river . there is a chandler about 400 meters along this road ,beside the river . Not the best for normal chandlery but they are supposed to be very good for sail repairs and will do minor jobs on site very quickly.

If your booze cruise is by boat (Dover) seek out Sharpe and Enright (Snargate st). A familly run buisiness , been there since the battle of whatever .
