Centaur interior like no other

Spoken like the owner of a Prestige Marque not a Macwester 27, a boat than only looses out to a Centaur on the looks and performance fronts, IMHO.

Well your welcome to your opinion but it is rubbish in my opinion & the article in Practical boat owner a year or two ago would seem to back up my opinion not yours. Check it out but you might want to sell your Centaur first.

So let me get this straight your "very well respected boat builder" friend got pissed off with technological progress, i.e "he couldn't stomach fibreglass", and from your own comments on dentists waiting rooms i'm guessing you own or aspire to own an AWB, so infact a "cheaply-made mass-produced" boat then?

For me it's all about design & practicality so I chose the boat I have after having experience owning wooden boats. For my friend who was a perfectionist designer & builder he could'nt stomach the production line approach at a time when mass production was just getting into the yacht market.
As an Engineer I know that mass production of particularly low skill boat building which is what you have with Westerly's & Macwesters of that era. Production quality controls of what was pretty low skilled trades was'nt up to much. They banged them out......

steady on chaps

best not go round throwing insults at other's choice of boat

unless its a big twin engine high wash mobo - in which case say what you like

D

I do like quality regardless of the product Dylan & you have to admit that in many cases it is the owners of those monstrous motor boats that are the problem not the boats themselves? ( personally it is smaller motor boats that have given me cause for concern). :encouragement:
