Catermerans for blue water?

Stability graphs and significantly favouring BIG catamarans which is probably how i can afford to me more lairy with big sails.

The righting moment of a cat is proportional to the 4th power of its length! Big is definitely beautiful.

What made me decide to go the Catarmarans route was a 30' Seamaster monohull tied up next to my barge. I'm moored on the Shannon in a very busy place with constant wash from passing tour boats which refuse to throttle back. No problem for my 35 ton barge, it hardly moves, but the Seamaster rolls violently with each passing boat.

Going on the principle that we will spend most of our time at anchor, not in horrid concrete and steel marinas ' floating caravan parks ', the Catarmaran concept seemed to make sense.

Why is there so much prejudice against cats in the Uk, 99% of boats are still fast planing monohulls which need oil millianaires to feed their habit?
