Not the service / Ops manual

Engineer has asked for a copy of the workshop manual for our 2 Cat 18's

Finnings want £1500 which seems a little "enthusiastic" on their part

There do seem to be one or two sites where one can download manuals, but does anyone have any recommendations about such sites (don't want to be buying rubbish / viruses ) or perhaps have suggestions where else one could get this manual from.

TIA
Rob

What info does he need ?

I've just been tasked to acquire a "Work shop " Manual - not the operational / user manual. Don't think there's a specific issue, just that as the boat is working - he felt that it would be useful to have the manual should a problem need to be resolved urgently.

Boatdiesel.com is by far the best website for anything marine engines-related, and they have a good library of downloadable technical docs.
You do need a subscription to download files, but you can browse their library FoC and check beforehand if there's what you are looking for.
Fwiw, I did find the repair manual for my MAN engines, and being a US forum, I would think that they should have a lot of Cat stuff too.
