I'm off to visit my fatherland very soon, and to impress the natives, I wish to wear a gold braided skippers cap. What size should it be?

I always thought the Russian Navy ones with the top the size of a dustbin, and a nice scrambled egg peak cut a fine dash.

I was recently in your Fatherland, and saw no evidence of either Braided Hats or Tam O Shanters with wispy red hair bits.

Silkie was wearing a faux Russian Army hat that was too small, so just be sure to have a hair cut before you go.

Your Mother must be very proud of you.

One of these should do the job.

The fatherland can be a bit rough on a Friday night,no ?
I would therefore advise wearing the full authentic regalia of the submarine service [image]

C'mon, chaps - and Honorary Chaps - it's not often Jimi seeks our advice....! So what can we suggest to enhance Oor Jimi's sartorial street cred among his peers - er, piers - er bevvymates. Swiftly, now, for the lumpen wee cave-troll will be off soon!

Here are a few suggestions for Oor Jim as he prepares to grace the Evening Promenade at Tobermory later in the week.... I imagine that any one of 'em would help him make the front page of the Oban Times!!

Which one does the team think is best suited to Jimi's colouring, posture and presence...?

For those of us with a millinery fetish, there are a few more 'crackers' to be found
in here....

No contest, last photo, bottom left. If your behaviour is as reputed, you can hide your face more easily under that one and hope nobody recognises you.. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

If one might be so bold as to suggest something more appropriate for Sir?
