Canvas work - strong thread

As usual I have a number of minor repairs to make to canvas work. What thread to use and where to get it online? Sail thread is rather thick and I am sure not what the experts use. Many thanks as always.

Well, I've just used whipping twine. It's rather thick and hard work, but it's certainly strong enough!

Use V92. It's UV resistant, and comes in a million colours.

I used UV resistant thread on my canvaswork. Think I got it from ebay.

If you know an angler you could ask him for a length of Dynema fishing line; makes a very strong UV resistant thread

For running repairs, I use an awl with thin whipping twine. For project work, using a sewing machine, I use V62 thread. I have a 3000m cone of the stuff and it looks like outlasting me.........
