Jimi,

I bought our dodgers from TecSew in Gosport - I can dig out the number if you want, but I remember that they have a website too. They were £235 for the pair, with the lettering, and and are really too big, as you will have seen. So for a direct replacement for GR, you might be looking at £150.

If you want to make your own, maybe they will sell you the raw material - I dunno.

Good luck, either way
Nick

Kayospruce, in Locksheath by J9 M27, supply just about every fabric imaginable and all fittings etc required to do the job. They have a web site at www.sailcloth.co.uk with online ordering, or you can pop in and buy direct.

We used Hong Kong Sails and for quality, price and sheer good service I don't think anyone could have beaten them.

Jim. Try Martex on 01270 522251 for a quote. I think you will get a good deal.

Consider acrylic rather than canvas, much stronger and less prone to staining etc.

Also, last time SWMBO dragged me around a reminants shop they had bloody great rolls of it dirt cheap, the same stuff we had paid C & J an arm for the year before.

The reminant shop also had canvas in all different colours and all the brass metal work. Don't forget to buy good needles.

hope this helps....

Try Dunelms

who are, I believe, a firm local to you.

Last time SWMBO dragged me round there they had great rools of acrylic fabric for sale at knockdown prices.

Acrylic is vastly superior to cotton canvas, it's UV resistant and more waterproof - the only problem is that you must sew it, no adhesives hold it in position.
