Am I right in thinking that Canary make a combined gas / CO2 detector? I'm sure I've read a review of it somewhere but can't seem to find one on the web. Also, has anyone any experience of using canary products? Are they any good - or do people think anothere make is better?

Thanks in advance for any help!

i have heard of a combined smoke / CO detector but can't give details.

a standard gas detector will pick up on CO but only when levels have reached a dangerous level.

I think I can help here, we build them!!!

The Canary gas detectors are only designed to detect Isobutanes (propane, butane), methane and petrol at useful levels.

Yes they will detect CO, but they are NOT designed too! The level at which they detect is much higher than the point at which you die! They ar not sold for the purpose of CO detection.

They can be bought on-line from us,
