It is better than ideal.

But is yours a great big battle ship that is hard to miss and has crew to make sure she stays put?

I used to drive to work IN one of those.

My boats mooring is on the loch that I drive alongside on my way into the current job. No webcams except for the military ones that I can only see image from if I go into the security department.

One of them - as a white, blurry speck in daylight hours only. At least I know it's still on the mooring.

Yes, that was the whole point of the gadget I made up for my nervous friend.
During the dark hours he can now go to

phone 07800560773 for 3 rings and hang up (so costs nothing) and interior lights I installed for him will shine via one of my gadgets for 30 secs and then turn off. Screen refreshes every 30 secs so I best go back and set lights to stay on for 60 secs I guess.

Very reassuring to see at night when a gale is blowing=but we used belt and braces on the mooring so all should be well= but still nice to see it night and day.
At moment it is just a bit of fun= haven't got it for sale on my website= using his boat as a test bed. Have now decided to install two 10W LEDs instead now with heat sinks etc = so bright they hurt my eyes, but boat will be visible and as interior lights he will be able to see into every knook and cranny = just fitted two to my car and they may be a bit TOO bright = I feel plod pulling me over for a chat, but at least I am testing them in harsh conditions.

Now, don't all go ringing his boat because you may flatten his battery = probably not though.

That is a super web cam.

I thought my friend was lucky to have a club with a web cam, but yours is the dog's dangles. Pan, zoom..........
