Can you recalibrate a Plastimo 105 compass?

As it is calibrated in 5 Deg intervals it is not possible to make fine adjustments.
Are there internal magnets you can adjust.?
How much is it out and where is it positioned on the boat?

I have the 135 and you have to pre-choose your area. I suspect if you have a zone B or C compass you will have to replace it.

On flat card models : UNIVERSAL BALANCE, one single compass around the world.
On conical card models : choose your compass according to navigation area.

* Zone A : North hemisphere (standard production = ref. 23484 or 23493)
** Zone B : South Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Central Pacific, Tahiti, Reunion Island.
*** Zone C : South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia.

That's what I thought, maybe time for a new one, there are screws on the underside of the compass that look like they make some sort of adjustment, it's not that far off which is what I would expect if it was for the South Pacific for example?

Compass adjuster IMHO is a waste of money in this case.
I would get to know the compass by comparing errors on various headings - compari son with GPS heading will suffice as calibrated in 5 Deg intervals.
Make a deviation card
