As the great Dave Lee Travis once said, there are no hard questions, there are those you know the answer to, and those you don't.
This Horse Island book was a mistake to read, I'm now terrified that one day I will end up marooned only yards from SCs berth.

Yes - "digi pics" cropped from original then resized hence the poor quality. The originals are fine.

Why? Can't you?

[/ QUOTE ]Considering I took the pics, I would hope I could name them. It was aimed at the tourists to the Clyde rather than the lucky few that sail here regularly.

Quality looks fine to me as they're small structures obviously taken some distance off. I was wondering as I'm thinking of going digi at some stage.

I'm using a well known high street firm (almost a local monoploy now) that gives you an own-brand film every time you have some processing done. Don't think the quality's terribly good, and am considering changing to digi.

Oddly enough, the same shop sells digi cameras. Is this a coincidence?

Digi is wonderful as all those useless pix don't cost you. Recently bought semi-pro digi on savings from HWMBO giving up smoking - Nikon - stunning ! Need lots of disk space tho !

Hmm. I stopped smoking at Easter (thanks to Scuttlebutt inspiration), but I haven't yet had permission from Madame Sgeir to buy the D70 (as recommended by my professional photographer daughter as a a good quality "middle grade" camera, whatever that is).

That's a big wave behind the light in the first photo.

Glad I live in the softy South now, you didn't even mention the wave!

You must be so used to them!!! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
