Can anyone identify this Type-N connector for me?

Hi Folks,

This Type-N is for RG58 - I need a similar one for RG8 if at all possible. Can anyone recognise the type? The round flange is 1" 7/8 or 48mm diameter.

I can't find anything like it yet.

I hope some of you VHF gurus has seen it before.

You could make one by brazing/silver soldering a conventional connector onto a bronze plate.

Looks like the VHF deck connector on my boat. Purchased from Seateach (Emsworth) in 2003. From memory, I think it was bubble packed by Vitronix

I believe that is called a type N flange socket, UHF 243. Try googling for that. Usually the flange is square, but perhaps round ones are available.
