If your really worried get a couple of cans of "no more gaps" and fill the tank with it and then grind away.

Hmmm wonder what the propellant gas is. I have built potato cannon and fueled them with aerosol propellant. Not sure if this is a good idea perhaps a small scale experiment first might be in order.
