Camargue berthing

Hello I have a non "internet ready" friend who is wanting to move from Spain to the Camargue region of France, to be living aboard year round on a motorcruiser. Can anyone suggest some good marinas that are reasonably cheap & near shops, restaurants etc. They would need to have a decent livaboard community as he would not want to be anywhere that was dead quiet in the winter.

Can any one offer some suggestions: we will be visiting the area in mid Feb. THe boat is 40ft.

there is a winter liveaboard community at Aigues Mortes. AM town is adjacent with shops restaurants open in winter.
It is a little inland, sheltered, and reasonably cheap.

Port Camargue is rather dead in winter.

I have a berth in port camargue (4500 boats) which will be free from after May this year. It is paid up until the end of the year and will probably be allocated if it is not renewed. I have little knowledge of the liveaboard life there but I have visited at all times of the year and the place stays sort of open.
