Cam & Broads slipways and trailer parking?

Looking play with my 9ft (wooden) dinghy on either the cam or or the broads. Looking for slipways or launch sites on either where I can dump a car an trailer for a weekend? Any suggestions?

Not many places on the Cam. There are a few marinas that would be worth a try: Fish and Duck, Lazy Otter(but that's actually on the Ouse), but the Cam is generally embankments, so the water's edge is steep-to. Nowhere with Parking in Cambridge, but I think there's a marina in Chesterton.

For the southern Broads I suggest Somerleyton Marina, google it and give them a call. so laid back nobody would even notice a car and trailer left there.

Five Miles from anywhere pub on the Cam at Upware - an EA public slip with car parking - upstream it's next to the turning for Wicken Lode, which goes through Wicken Fen nature reserve.

Thanks for all the suggestions. EA website is not that good and the Broads Authority don’t really explain if you can leave the trailer and car which is a bit essential. So all the personal recommendations are great. Picnic hamper on order and hopefully a few nice weekends exploring.

The car parking there is for pub customers only; the slip is public but the parking isn't.

It's the combination of slip AND parking that's going to be hard. I'd guess that there are very few public slips with parking that can be used freely; probably a marina (where you'll have to pay) is the best bet.

Incidentally, there's a marina in Littleport (on the Great Ouse) where there's a slip and off-road parking. I don't think they'd charge much for using it, and there's space to leave a car. That said, the Ouse beyond Ely isn't very interesting!

Reedcutters at cantley on yare has free slip and good parking.
