I recently bought a boat, just a little one. 18 foot lift keel day sailer which has been well cared for by the previous owner. Today I started investigating the basic electrics, battery stowage, depth sounder, bilge pump all under the cabin sole accessible via a small locker lid under the settee berth...Woe is me!!!
He was left handed... Everything is easy to get to...if you are left handed, he also had telescopic arms I think.
I've spent the day, nose pressed against the settee base, left eye squinting into the semi darkness trying to find the spanner I've just dropped for the fifth time from a fumbling left hand trying to undo battery cable clamps. Think I'll cut a big hole in the cabin sole and attack it all from above..
