I have c-map pc planning, but dew to age of unit on boat I can not down load WP on it, was told at SBS that could up grade i.e. put bits in it to make it work, Has anyone tried this or would it be better to get new system when pennies allow??

extract it from boat and take unit to a competent computer shop (not PC W**ld) ask their advice. dependent on what you have at the moment, you might be better of buying a s/h laptop and outputting picture through the existing screen. Very difficult to advise without details of ecxisting gear, or software. I understand that most chart software needs at least a 500mhz processor. Above that the faster the processor, the more power required.
