Buying a Merry Fisher 805 in France.

I live in Malahide near Dublin and have sailed yachts. for years but Tempus Fugit am considering buying an 805. The UK since Brexit is not now an option as 22% VAT plus other charges and France would obviate this as EU to EU, although I'll have to haul her back to Ireland.
I've read some posts on her and they are helpful. The boat I am considering says they are planning Fairing. What do they mean?

I think that means semi displacement (or semi planing!) which is what the boat is.
